Game On!

So here we are...undefeated! It was a wild and woolly start to the season, played in a fascinating mix of cloudy/sunny/hot/cold/rainy weather. Defense was played, bases were run and balls were smashed all over the field. All told, a solid effort all around, considering any attempt at practice was rained out. So good job. Yeah.

Providing the other team a catcher is a fantastic rule. You don't want to harass the other team, so a chance to do mess with your own team is pretty fun. I'm kicking myself for not using the "How's your wife and my kids?" line at a good time.

We also learned a valuable baseball lesson: when on first base with two outs, you should run on anything.

We also learned to not skip out on beers after the game. How did I get this job? I would have paid far more attention if I knew I was chronicling it. Next time, I'll pay better attention. Or, I'll make a liar out of myself. One or the other.

I will start wearing earmuffs so I can look more like this guy.

I was going to add the date and time for the next game, just so this wouldn't be a terrible waste of the intarweb, but it's not on the BSSC website. Sorry. You just wasted a few precious minutes of your young life and have nothing to show for it. We'll try and use this space better next time.
