Game On(e)!
So, just wanted to give some recognition where recognition was due.
By the power vested in me by Ryan, who added me as co-blogger, I'd like to award three game balls for last Sunday's game. The first goes to Pitts for making a difficult 6-3 out (shortstop to first baseman). The second goes to Cher for pitching 5 innings after I bailed, and getting the save. Or possibly a win. I wasn't really keeping track. Finally, Shannon gets a game ball for sacrificing her wrist on a heated liner to third to get me out of the second inning. Nice job, all.
Somewhere along the line it was decided that there were a number of offenses that would make the offender responsible for a pitcher of beer. One was striking out. Probably another one is an egregious fielding error (e.g., Eagle calling a ball he clearly couldn't get to in center field). But a definite pitcher offense is a base-running folly. We had two of those on Sunday. One went to Joe for running on a fly with one out, and getting thrown out after the ball was caught. The other went to Mario, for not running on contact with two outs... even considering the 5lbs of change in his cargo shorts and his skater shoes weighing 6lbs (per cubic inch) he would have been safe. Not that it mattered, as IGMW2SA3 beat the Piranhas 14-6, with some big bats knocking big runs in.
Lastly, I want to bestow on Sean the Almost Sportsmanship Award (ASA), for contemplating offering a lefties glove to the gloveless Piranha's player as a joke. As it turned out, he was a leftie, which we discovered when he pulled a Jim Abbott on us after fielding a ball out in right. Yes, it was accidental, but for Sean that seems like a step in the right direction.
You stay classy, Boston.
Fun fact: Jim Abbott batted .095 in 21 appearances for the Brewers in 1999, and knocked in 3 RBIs.

You're a better blogger than me. I'm going to really have to be on top of things at the next game. Shoot.

Aww, shucks man. You're making me blush. But it doesn't matter, we're the only two people reading this anyway.
